For the past weeks I have been working on a sewing series for beginners. I received a request on one of my videos to please explain certain techniques like top stitching, under stitching, seam allowance etc. and I thought I'd take the opportunity to make a sewing basics series that hopefully touches on every topic necessary to follow all of my patterns with ease and fun. The first 3 videos of the series are now out on YOUTUBE and I am working on more videos as we speak. They will be added one by one and if you have any requests for topics I could add, please let me know (theresa [at] samidolls [dot] com) I received a message from a viewer who is not on Facebook and was disappointed that I started uploading all my Freebooks in my Facebook Groups exclusively. She does not have any social media account and therefore has no access to them. If there are others in a similar situation and you would prefer for me to upload the patterns on a different platform, let me know. Freebie of the Month August 2016 and new unboxing videos

The FREEBIE OF THE MONTH for August 2016 is this lovely storage basket with dividers that fts inside the fabric basket from last month's free pattern. I really wanted a basket with dividers, so I can have several compartments for my sewing basket, and I came up with this little tutorial. You don't have to use it as thr fabric basket insert. I am sure it will also make a nice gift basket, toy basket etc. I hope you like it. If you have other pattern ideas or requests, let me know onFacebook or in the YouTube comments. The video tutorial for the storage basket is here and from now on all my free patterns will be available for download in the 'Files' section in the Sami Facebook group. You will have to send a join request and once you are in, you can browse the group and download the patterns. I also uploaded a couple more unboxing videos after I did my experiment with trying an international mail forwarding service that will allow me to order US only items to Australia.
